A single touch plate in any room of the home

controls all other lights and appliances

in the home!

This ... and a bit more!

You're in the bedoom and realize the garage light was left on? No problem! Turn it off from the same touch plate in your bedroom that controls the bedroom light!

Or you left the stereo on in your front room. Turn it off from the kitchen!

ANY touch plate in any room controls the light or appliance in any other room! And no, this touch plate is not a typewriter keyboard -- just a small solid, non-mechanical, metal button which can be less than the size of a penny!

Using a combination of three types of touches, short, long, and hold down; one can easily control any one of 250 outlets wired to the One Button 2 Sysem.

Quad One Button Home 2 power strip

Power strip containing four individually controlled outlets. Each outlet can have a different assigned system number. It has touch plate on power strip (at left side). Also, a terminal strip on the back side accomodates up to 100 foot shielded touch plate control line which can have multiple touch plates attached at various locations. Also available is a push button switch line which allows the unit to be controlled by one or more mechanical push button switches at various locations. A two wire type telephone line is used to both power the unit and give two-way communication to the master unit and all other slave units in the system.

~~~~~~~~
Touch plates are non-mechanical, so they never wear out. All electronics are located in a plug-in module at the light or appliance. Additionally, considerable cost in wiring a home is saved because heavy copper wiring to wall switches is no longer needed. Instead, a small shielded cable leads to the touch plate or touch plates. Alternately, a small two-conductor wire can lead to push button switches, if desired.
Either capacitance type touch plates, or mechanical push buttons may be used with each remote unit. Any number of touch plates or push buttons can be placed along a common small line. Several locations for control of the light or appliance are therefore possible.
Additionally, each room light can be turned on or off by an internal timer -- even on a certain day of the week. Or, a "lived-in" look can be had with an on at dusk and random off near a preset hour.
Extremely low power consumption .... an entire system with 178 attached units draws but 10 watts. Up to 250 controlled outlets are possible with this system.
A home wired with this system will use much less heavy copper wire. This is because no heavy wire is needed leading to wall switches. Instead, , tiny wires are used for either the touch plate lines or push button lines.
This new 2009 One Button Home 2 system is an improved version over the original One Button Home system introduced several years ago. Remote units retain their unit number identity in the event of a power failure. All units can give a "lived-in" look by switching the lights on automatically at dusk and randomly going on and off during the evening hours, if desired. As well, a remote unit can act as a night light --- turning on at dusk and off at dawn. Additionally, each remote unit has its own clock which is regularly updated daily from a signal originating from the master unit. The master unit can be controlled by an atomic clock to provide automatic daylight savings times changes and assure accurate time cycling. Each remote unit has the capability to be programmed with several on and off times during each day .... or even on given days or day of the week. Remote units will systematically flash out the time of day by means of a red/green LED. Such a setting disconnects the unit so that any system commands are ignored. Such a setting is useful when no outside control by other units would be desired.
